An "end" and a
"beginning"....
END CHEMO:
Another good day...so far no significant
side-effects to deal with. How thankful I am for that!
Today was the last chemo infusion until July
18-20 when the next set of three infusions will take place. I am
told that possibly the three days following chemo are the hardest as regards the
side-effects. However, I am thinking positively. I am equipped with
meds that should help with the nausea. Am keeping my fingers crossed, a
smile on my face (and hair on my head so far).
BEGINNING RADIATION:
1 down, 24 to go..
Radiation began today with a 30 minute
appointment. The rest of theses sessions will probably be no longer than
15 minutes. I will have three sessions this week and 4 next week with
Monday off due to the holiday. Then, it will be daily during weekdays
until early August. My prayer is that all of this "poison" and
radioactive intrusions in my body will be well worth it if they keep me alive
and well.
I will probably not be
posting blogs regularly since there, hopefully, will be little to relate in the
next few weeks. However, if you wish to communicate, please feel free to
email us anytime at:
For those of you who have
indicated trouble posting on this blog, we have removed the block so you can
see your comments. Feel free to post if you so desire. You can either
post anonymously (one of the choices in the pull-down menu) or it might be best
to sign your name as part of your message. However, the best way
to comment or write to us, is to simply use the email address and write
us directly to that.
Your responses and offers to help have been overwhelming. THANK YOU to
all for your good wishes, positive vibes and offers to help drive, bring food,
hold my hand or just spend time with us. That is all very, very much
appreciated. I will try to respond personally to each of you. In the meantime,
other than a few meals that have already been arranged, our needs are unknown
at this point in time. Stay tuned. We just want you to know how touched
and thankful we are for all the support you are giving us at this time.
Spending time with you will be top of our list of "requests."
We hope everyone will enjoy a relaxing and wonderful holiday weekend. HAPPY 4th of July!
~ Judy ~
